Hi Marie and Elspeth, Sorry it’s taken me so long to write a note of thanks for an amazing 21 day trip in Scotland. Running 2 businesses makes going away for a week difficult so our first 21 day trip in more than 10 years was a feat! We are starting to even out a bit now so here I am writing to you with smiles and happy memories of the best holiday we’ve ever had! The locations of each of the B&B’s was outstanding as well as the recommendations for places to eat. We were amazed at how kind and attentive the hosts were at each location. Thurso, Aboyne, and Nairn stand out specifically as being really wonderful. Many even remembered that it was our anniversary trip and gave us some congratulations and in one case a very thoughtful card. The trip to Orkney that you recommended was a wonderful addition to our itinerary and won’t be forgotten. A major highlight was our day with the Skye Ghillie. Mitchell was informative, and fun which is a great combination when spending an entire day together. We would definitely book with him again if we find our way back to Skye. The driving map was a lovely touch and much appreciated as we planned our days. We have been recommending you to all of our friends and family since our return and hope to drum up some additional business for you from here in Nova Scotia. Thanks again! Wendy & Glenn Hunter

Dear Marie, Just wanted to say a quick hello and thank you for organizing a wonderful 10-day stay in Scotland for Andreas and me. We had a great time and enjoyed every B&B and town/city. The hosts were friendly and made us feel at home. I would like to make special mention of George and Angela in Nairn and Francesca in Glasgow. George and Angela told us a lot about the area and history, showed us interesting books and answered our many questions. Their breakfasts were great too. Francesca was particularly hospitable. She made Andreas and me feel like we were part of the family. Meeting such kind hosts made our time in Scotland even more special. Thanks for putting us in such good hands! I hope you’ve had a nice, relaxing time in France. Many greetings from Stuttgart, (from Andreas too), Will P.S. In Fort William we asked Catriona about nearby laundry facilities. Since she was on her own that evening and had time, she insisted on washing and drying our clothes for us. When we got back from a restaurant later that evening, we found our clothes neatly folded and laid out on our beds!

Hi Marie, We had a great time in Scotland, but your country has so many beautiful places to visit that we saw just a fraction of what we could have done. We ran out of time. We appreciate that you tailor-made our vacation. We told you the things that we wanted to see and do and you planned a great week for us. Our accommodations were outstanding. That was one of our favorites things of Scotland was that and meeting the people at our different stops. They were very welcoming and the places were beautiful and very well maintained. The brochures that you specially wrote up for us were very helpful and helped us make the decisions for the day. It was so true that you made Scotland easy to come and enjoy. Again, thanks for everything. Everytime I think of Scotland I smile and remember.

HI Marie We enjoyed our trip to Scotland immensely. The only thing we regretted is not having gotten to stay at your own B&B! We very much enjoyed the accommodations you did arrange for us, they put us exactly where we needed to be for the things we wanted to see and the map was invaluable (even if we didn't always follow your recommended route!). We were even able to pass the map on to our daughter and her husband as they drove from Edinbirgh to St Andrews to Loch Lomond, Oban, and Glasgow. Having the Scottish Heritage Pass was nice, but I don't feel we got a lot of value from it as most of the places we visited didn't accept it due to being privately owned, and by the time we got to Sterling Castle it had expired (having activated it at the Tennement House in Glasgow). Thank you for the offer of a discount on a future holiday. Unfortunately we are not able to take advantage of it at this time. Thank you again for your services. Your advice in scaling down my original expectations of how far we might be able to travel in the time available to us made for a much more relaxing and satisfying journey. Sincerely, Roberta and Brian Wells

Marie, We wanted to tell you about our recent holiday in the Outer Hebrides - the holiday was great and all your efforts were appreciated. All the B&Bs were very good but the B&B on Eriskay was fantastic, by far the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The weather was not good but we did not go there for the sunshine, Every thing you said you would do was done and we had a holiday that we will remember. Kind Regards Colin and Diana (Surrey)

Hello Marie We really enjoyed our vacation; you created the trip of a lifetime for us! We blew out two tires on our mini cooper on the way to Oban the first day, but were able to get to the castle by 10pm in a rental car, and get back on schedule with the mini the next day. Graeme Wardlaw/BMW really helped us out and were wonderful to us. My favorite place was our little Nairn hotel, and I love Nairn. I want to live there. I was quite pleased with your B&B selections, so thank you for putting us on a great trip. Driving in Scotland was a challenge for both of us, but we managed and saw a lot of the country and met real people, just as we wanted to do. We would love to return when the price of oil goes back up. Our Alaska economy is dependent on the price of oil, which is currently below comfort level, and statewide layoffs are underway. Sincerely, Gina Cameron

Hi Elspeth & Marie, Well, we have just boarded the plane to return to Australia from a most wonderful trip to the United Kingdom. Everything worked liked clockwork and other than too much rain, we had an excellent trip. Thank you for all your hard work in organising the accommodation for us. We were expected and welcomed at each B&B and there was not a single issue. The websites and information packages proved to be invaluable and we certainly appreciated having all the info you provided. We also greatly valued having the maps with suggested routes and highlighted attractions with us. They certainly gave us excellent guidance and they were taken to dinner most nights. We also made full use of the Heritage passes but were disappointed when they reached their use by date! We thought we might give you some feed back on our reactions/thoughts of the various accommodation sites you organised for us. As we do not know the cost of the rooms our thoughts are not at all influenced by the $ sign...although some were most obviously more costly than others. We have awarded points based on how we felt about each venue. So in order of our itineray....... Edinburgh. Points 7-8/10 The boys were fantastic and very helpful with tourism info, bus arrangements and other general information. The room was lovely, if smallish and the breakfasts were fantastic. We would recommend this venue in the future. Nairn. Points 9/10 Our hostess was fantastic. The room was spacious, spotless and just gorgeous. Breakfasts were fantastic and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would have loved to have had more time in Nairn and at the B&B. Again our hosts were very helpful with tourism info, dinner bookings and other general information. We would highly recommend this in the future. Fort William. Points 9/10 Our hostess was also very helpful and The Grange was just beautiful! The breakfasts were outstanding and her fruit platters are most memorable. Scottish strawberries left us drooling. Our Aussie fruits taste shameful compared to Scottish fruit I must admit. Again Joan was very helpful with tourism info, dinner bookings and other general information. We would highly recommend this in the future. Isle of Skye. Points 7/10 Christine was also very friendly, helpful and gave us lots of tips. This newish home was also very spacious and comfortable with more beautiful food for breakfast. We would recommend this in the future. The castle near Oban. Points 8/10 Well indeed a highlight! Very spacious, romantic and full of the feeling of actually being in history. Whilst we can understand the internet issues they were trying to address, it was very frustrating to be out of contact as even mobile phone coverage was bad. Overall it was a great experience and we would recommend this to others for the castle experience but they need to fix their internet. B&B near Glasgow Airport. Points 9/10 What a gem this was. Francesca was an absolute diamond and her home just magnificent. We regretted only having one night there as the ambience was so good. We could do no other than highly recommend her to others. So they were some of our thoughts. We will highly recommend your services to our friends in the future. A most excellent service indeed! Regards, Meredith and Peter

Marie and Elspeth, We’re back home again after a marvelous trip. Thank You so much for all your efforts on our behalf. Our only regret is that we didn’t have enough time to see everything we would have liked, but that was because of jet lag. We want to specially commend Joan at The Grange and Ian and Alan at Kew House. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, we’d recommend their accommodations to anyone. And finally, thanks to you Marie for your hospitality at The Braighe. We had a lovely time in Nairn and Inverness, mostly due to your suggestions and thoughtfulness. All the best. Hi Marie and Elspeth, the wedding went off very well, topped off by a wonderful few days in Scotland (sadly drawing to a close!) Thank you for organising everything. It all worked perfectly and was exactly what we had in mind. Best Wishes Nick and Iffet. (Tonbridge, Kent)
