Dear Marie, Thanks mainly to your efforts, our self-drive trip to Scotland was all that we had dreamed of during the many months of planning! The Sundown House was the very best!  The entire experience with Liz was exceptional.  It's just amazing what she accomplishes.  We made our way to the Isle of Skye, whose rugged beauty was most impressive. Our young hosts at Kinlock Lodge were kind and helpful; we were always in good hands there and very comfortable.   Our stop number three, Pitlochry, is an adorable little town.  We liked the Auld Smiddy Inn so much that we dined there both nights of our stay, and had the opportunity to visit Bruar to hike the trail and see the falls dedicated to Robert Burns.  And, although we arrived in Edinburgh in a chilly, windy rain, we had a terriffic time.  Since the Apex Hotel is located right near the Balmoral, which we knew from a previous trip to Scotland, we were able to find our way around early on.  We had two great recommendations for dinner from Linda, concierge at the Apex.  We found the Whiski Bar and Restaurant on the Royal Mile on our own and sat in on some of the beautiful traditional Scottish music the night before our departure.  The food was very good everywhere we went. Thank you again for all your attention to detail.  You answered our emails promptly every time over all the months of making arrangements, and we profited from your prodigious notes and research. Your directions were helpful; we had no trouble finding our way from one stay to the next. We wish you continued success with Scotland Made Easy. We have treasured memories of your Scottish hospitality. Eleanor and Pat Urciuoli

Neil and Elizabeth Roberts - Australia said at 23:08 on Monday 26th of September 2016:

Greetings Marie, The family is back in Australia now and Elizabeth & I are battling with the move to our next house (the farm sale settles on Monday next). I want to thank you for the seamless way your itinerary worked for us. As we moved through Scotland we kept hearing how the tourism industry had boomed this year and how tight bookings were everywhere -- even for dinner in places like Fort William. Thankfully your bookings protected us from the pressures on accommodation everywhere. Your selections of accommodation were excellent and we never had any cause for concern in any way -- the quality was right up to the standard that you promised. Similarly, the car organised through your colleague Graeme Wardlaw at Eastern Motor Holdings was perfect for our trip (and luggage!). Many thanks, Graeme! Please pass on our thanks to all of your accommodation hosts. Another satisfied customer, Marie. Neil Roberts

All the accommodations were beautiful and the people so kind and helpful. I will write soon with more details and say good words on trip advisor etc Our last day in Edinborough was perfect! Neil was there to give us some advice we had time to tour the castle, walk the town, and a late lunch at the Dome. Neil scheduled the taxi for us to the airport in the morning , and everything was lovely!. More details in a bit. Hugs, Coral and Phillip McCord (Oregan, USA)

Hi Marie, Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you so much for organizing the Scottish portion of our holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed it! The weather was very good, better then we expected. All of the information that you sent as well as the map your provided was all very helpful. Everywhere we stayed was very nice and the hosts of the accommodations were very friendly and helpful. We found the Scottish people in general to be very kind and welcoming. I thought I would give some comments on each place we stayed in case you would want the feedback for places that you are recommending. Our Oban B&B - Beautiful home with very pleasant hosts. We particularly enjoyed have the large main floor suite so I didn't have to climb the stairs (arthritis in my knee). The bathroom for this suite was large and well appointed with luxury bath products. The breakfast of salmon and scrambled eggs was truly delicious! Our castle stay - Our sons were thrilled to stay in a castle! It was beautiful with interesting interior with hidden staircases in the dining room walls! Truly a special location to stay. The breakfast was fantastic! The Skye B&B - The location was quite remote, but the accommodation itself was nice and the view was pretty spectacular. The host was a very nice lady. Our least favourite breakfast but it was fine. If we were doing this again, we probably would have skipped Skye unless we could get 2 nights accommodation as we found that it was too much driving from Oban to this B&B for one night only and then to drive all the way to Nairn the next day. We really had no time to spend touring Skye itself. I realize it was difficult for you to find us any accommodation on Skye as it was so busy there during our visit. Our Nairn B&B - Very nice accommodation and very friendly hosts Andy & Anika. The breakfast was very good and we loved the specialty coffee machine for lattes! We got to see some of Andy's photography which is amazing. Our little family run hotel in Nairn - Probably our favourite accommodation! Beautiful huge room with great view and nice spacious bathroom. Fresh fruit provided in our room each day, along with water, cookies and tea. Everything was immaculate. We had our evening meals there on both nights and it was fantastic - gourmet food! The breakfast was also wonderful. We would definitely come back to this hotel and would recommend it highly. Our Edinburgh B&B - Beautiful house and wonderfully decorated. Probably our best breakfast - gourmet quality - not surprised that they won the "egg cup award". The hosts were very nice. In all, it was a wonderful holiday in Scotland and we have you to thank Marie for organizing it all for us. We would definitely recommend your services as you are very organized and comprehensive in your service. Thanks again, Debbie & Jeffery Snow (Toronto, Canada)

Drummond and Laura Howard said at 12:08 on Wednesday 2nd of December 2015:

Hi Marie, Sorry not to have written earlier, I keep getting distracted but other things (unfortunately usually work). Laura and I had a wonderful time in Scotland! The only problem was we always wanted to stay longer. All the Bed and Breakfasts were wonderful and the people were very helpful and always reccomended great places to eat and local attractions. Ardtorna was amazing, but a little hard to find, not too difficult though. Oban is an amazing area, and we were really happy we took Seans recomendation and took a longer route back to Edinburgh, it was a very beautiful drive. I would certainly recommend you to our friends, you guys put togather a wonderful package for us, and with very short notice. Lodging is where I spend most of my time in planning, not having to do that research and planning was really great, I couldn't have hoped for better locations. Thank you again for your help!
